Eliot Davila

Vice President, Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics at Somatus

Eliot Davila has over 13 years of work experience in various roles related to data science, machine learning, and analytics. Eliot currently serves as the Vice President of Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics at Somatus since July 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Capital One as a Data Science Manager from September 2019 to July 2020, leading efforts to develop machine learning for optimizing customer messaging experiences.

From 2018 to 2019, Davila worked at DrFirst, Inc. as a Senior Manager of Data Science, where they built and led the first Data Science and Machine Learning team. At Kaiser Permanente - Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, they served as a Manager of Operational Analytics from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they led a team of data scientists and analysts in delivering various data products, including machine learning models and traditional reporting analytics, in domains such as risk adjustment, quality, utilization, and more.

Before that, Davila worked at FTI Consulting in various roles. Eliot was a Director in the Healthcare Solutions practice from 2013 to 2016, assisting clients in process improvement and change management initiatives. As a Senior Consultant at the Center for Healthcare Economics and Policy from 2012 to 2013, they focused on healthcare research and analytics, including workplace wellness programs, healthcare cost analysis, and organizational change simulations. Eliot also worked as an Analyst at FTI Consulting - Compass Lexecon from 2011 to 2012.

Davila started their career as an Economist at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Current Employment Statistics Division from 2010 to 2011. Eliot also worked as an Equity Trader at Lynx Capital Partners, LLC from 2007 to 2008.

From 2008 to 2010, Eliot Davila attended the University of Maryland and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Economics and Philosophy.
