Jeff Passaro

Jeff Passaro has a diverse and extensive background in the field of healthcare analytics. Jeff has held various leadership roles throughout their career, working with companies such as Somatus, Synergy Informatix Inc., Olive, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Health Net, and Blue Shield of California.

At Somatus, Jeff currently serves as the Senior Director of Analytics, where they are responsible for leading the development of automated self-service analytic products to guide the expansion of nephrology value-based care strategy.

Prior to this role, Jeff worked as the Director of Analytics at Synergy Informatix Inc., where they developed predictive models of chronic disease mortality based on social determinants of health, conducted cost savings modeling in an accountable care organization, and performed correlation analysis on heart disease death rates.

Before joining Synergy Informatix Inc., Jeff was the Director of Customer Intelligence at Olive, where they developed the vision and strategy to transform revenue cycle client healthcare data into quantified performance metrics. Jeff also leveraged customer data to automate standard reports for the company's revenue.

Jeff also has experience working at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield as the Vice President of PCMH, leading a large value-based primary care management team. Jeff used analytic algorithms to integrate multiple data sets and performed a ROI analysis that demonstrated significant savings for the organization. Additionally, they represented the Health Services Division in a digital transformation initiative.

At Health Net, Jeff served as the Vice President of Product Performance, where they developed and led analytic-driven growth strategies for commercial lines of business. Jeff also led cross-functional data governance collaborations with various departments.

Earlier in their career, Jeff held multiple roles at Synergy Informatix Inc. and Blue Shield of California. At Synergy Informatix Inc., they provided analytic consulting, business intelligence, and storytelling through population health data analytics. Jeff also developed quality, efficiency, and patient experience compensation models and implemented a cloud-based IT platform for a California Health Plan.

At Blue Shield of California, Jeff contributed to various projects as the Director of Medical Informatics Product Innovation. Jeff developed a claims-centered evaluation of value-based insurance design and led the implementation of a comprehensive PCMH/ACO data warehousing platform. Jeff also served as the Director of Health Data Reporting, where they introduced SAS automation and implemented a customer self-service analytic platform.

Throughout their career, Jeff has demonstrated a strong ability to use data analytics to drive organizational growth and efficiency.

Jeff Passaro has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from San Francisco State University. Jeff also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Systems Management from the University of Connecticut School of Business. Additionally, Jeff has completed the IBM Data Science Professional Certificate program, focusing on Data Science, Machine Learning, and Visualization, through Coursera.
