Emily McMahon

Emily McMahon has a diverse work experience in the education field. Emily is currently working as the Director of Student Services at Somerset Area School District since December 2021. Prior to this, they served as an Assistant Principal at Duval County Public Schools from July 2017 to November 2021. Emily also worked as a Graduation Coach, Art Teacher, and English Teacher at the same school between May 2016 and July 2017, May 2014 and May 2016, and August 2012 and May 2014 respectively. Emily was a Corps Member at Teach For America from June 2012 to June 2014. Emily started their career as an Art Teacher at State College Area School District from January 2011 to June 2012. Emily also has experience as an Art Teacher at Northeastern School District from August 2009 to February 2010.

Emily McMahon completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art Teacher Education at Washington & Jefferson College from 2004 to 2008. Emily then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Urban Education and Leadership at Teachers College, Columbia University from 2015 to 2016.
