Tessa Munt

Tessa Munt has extensive experience in public service, currently serving as the Executive Lead Member for Children & Families at Somerset County Council since May 2017. A member of the Liberal Democrats, Tessa has been the County Councillor for Wells since January 2003 and previously held the role of Member of Parliament for Wells from 2010 to 2015, marking a significant victory as the first non-Conservative to win the seat since 1923. Tessa also served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Vince Cable, the Business Secretary, in 2012. Educational background includes studies at Sutton High School, Reigate County School for Girls, and St Joseph's Priory in Dorking.
