Jessica Boston Davis currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Academics and previously held the role of Director for Equity and Excellence at Somerville Public Schools since July 2019. Prior experience includes positions as a Teaching Fellow and Content Developer for the Instructional Moves project at Harvard University Graduate School of Education from 2017 to July 2019, as well as a Summer Fellow at the Walton Family Foundation in 2017 and Lead Mentor Teacher at Relay Graduate School of Education in 2017. Jessica Boston Davis was the Founding Principal and Grade Level Chair at KIPP New Jersey from 2012 to 2015 and also served as the Founding Teacher and Grade Team Leader at PAVE Academy Charter School from 2008 to 2012. Earlier in career, Jessica Boston Davis was an Americorps Vista with AmeriCorps in 2005. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education Leadership Candidate (Ed.LD) and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master of Science (MS) in Elementary Education and Teaching from Hunter College, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Child Development from Spelman College.
