Heath Whittier is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in machining and product development. Currently serving as Engineering Lead at Somic America Inc. since March 2016, Heath oversees engineering efforts within the Machining division, focusing on new equipment procurement and runoff. Previously, as a Manufacturing Engineer, responsibilities included high-volume machining, process ownership, and project management for new product launches. Heath's experience also includes five years at US Synthetic as a Product Development Engineer, where contributions involved the design and analysis of PDC drilling products and improving manufacturing processes. Early career roles include a Student Engineer position at Brady Mining and engineering internships at HDT Global and Luna Innovations, where Heath gained expertise in robotics and research and development. Heath Whittier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
