Mike Seile serves as the Vice President of Operations at Somic America Inc. since December 2014, leading a team of 450 employees across Maine and Virginia in the production of suspension and steering components for the U.S. automotive industry. Key responsibilities encompass manufacturing, human resources, production control, engineering, maintenance, quality assurance, continuous improvement, asset planning, and product/process development. Additionally, Mike holds a volunteer position as Vice President on the board of Our Katahdin, a 501c3 organization. Previously, Mike was the CEO of Bangor YMCA and Vice President of Operations at Brewer Automotive Components, where a notable growth of $50 million in sales was managed. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Management and Operations from the University of Maine, complemented by extensive engineering coursework. Mike has a strong background in quality management and process improvement, highlighted by Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
