Nicolas Gonzalez Thomas

Nicolas Gonzalez Thomas is a technology expert and entrepreneur with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and music technology. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Musical AI since January 2023, Nicolas previously founded and led Spliqs as CEO from January 2019 to December 2022, focusing on generative music and audio technology. With a background that includes roles such as Tech Development and Strategy Consultant for various companies, Nicolas also participated in Techstars AI as an alumnus in 2019, where Spliqs Intelligent Media received funding. Earlier ventures include founding the acquired business AS-codename and serving as CTO at BookedWithCasa. Nicolas began a research career at Simon Fraser University, contributing to advancements in interactive music generation, and has held positions at Telus related to data migration and system reconciliation. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Interactive Arts and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
