Rachel Freedman

Rachel Freedman has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Rachel currently serves as the Vice President and Head of Employment Practices Liability Claims at Sompo International, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Assistant Vice President and Claims Counsel for Management Liability at Sompo International, starting in July 2017.

Before joining Sompo International, Rachel worked at CNA Insurance for 17 years. During their time there, they held various positions, including Claim Consulting Director for Management Liability, Financial Institutions, and Technology from May 2013 to July 2017. Rachel also served as the Director for Private Company EPL, D&O, and Fiduciary Claims from May 2002 to May 2013, and as a Claims Counsel for EPL and D&O Claims from January 2000 to May 2002.

Rachel Freedman attended the University of Michigan, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) cum laude degree with a double major in Communications and Political Science. Rachel then pursued their legal education at The George Washington University Law School, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
