Sharl van Rensburg

Sharl van Rensburg is the current Financial Director at Somta Tools. Sharl has over 25 years of experience in financial management, auditing, and administration.

Van Rensburg started their career in 1984 as a Senior Admin Clerk for the Kwa Zulu Natal Provincial Government. Sharl then joined the South African Defence Force (SADF) as a National Serviceman from 1984 to 1986. After the SADF, they worked as an audit manager for Lee Oosthuizen & Smith from 1995 to 1996.

In 1996, Van Rensburg became a partner at Van Zudam Van Rensburg until 2002 when they took on the role of Financial Manager - Africa for Cummins Filtration from 2003 to 2009. Most recently, they have been working as the Financial Director at Somta Tools since 2009.

Sharl van Rensburg studied accounting at the University of Durban-Westville, where they obtained a postgraduate diploma. Sharl then went on to study for a B Compt at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Sharl finally completed their senior certificate at Hoerskool Gert Maritz.

Sharl van Rensburg reports to Allan Conolly, Managing Director. Sharl van Rensburg works with Dave Atkins - Quality Manager, Ossie Patterson - Technical Manager, and Faeem Mahomed - Factory Manager.
