João Pedro Guimarães

João Pedro Guimarães has extensive work experience in project management, architecture, and design development. João Pedro started their career in 1996 with Sonae Sierra as a Project Manager and worked there until 2002. João Pedro then joined Sonae Turismo as a Project Manager and later became the Director of Project Management at troiaresort, also a part of Sonae Turismo. In 2009, they became the Head of Design Development at Sonae Turismo, SGPS. In 2012, they moved to Sonae Capital and served as the Head of General Contracting. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Sonae RP as the Head of Project Management & Architecture. After that, they joined Sonae FS as the Head of Project Management, Architecture & Interior Design, where they worked until 2022 when they joined Sonae Sierra as the Head of Asset Services - Project Management & Architecture.

João Pedro Guimarães has a diverse education history. João Pedro completed a Strategic Leadership Program at the Nova School of Business and Economics in 2021. In 2017, they attended the Sonae Management & Leadership Academy, focusing on Structured Problem Solving & Communication. In 2014, they studied Gestão Estratégica e Criação de Valor at the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2012, they pursued a PhD in Pós Graduação em Gestão do Turismo e Hotelaria at the Porto Business School. In 2009, they participated in the Programa de Direção de Empresas at AESE Business School. João Pedro also attended the Cranfield School of Management in 2010, focusing on International Project Management, and the London Business School in 2008, studying Leadership & Organizational Transformation. João Pedro completed a Curso Geral de Gestão at the Porto Business School in 2001 and studied Finanças para não Financeiros at the same school in 1999. Finally, they obtained a Licenciatura in Engenharia Civil from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto in 1996.
