Júlio Miguel Gomes

Júlio Miguel Gomes has a diverse range of work experience starting in 1999. Júlio Miguel began as a Commercial Trainee at BES in 1999 and later worked as a Finance Trainee at Caderno Verde Comunicação, SA in 2000. In the same year, they also served as an Investor, valuing start-up companies in Internet and Telecommunications areas, at Sonaecom.

From 2002 onwards, Júlio worked primarily at Sonae Sierra, starting as a Reporting Analyst and eventually progressing to become a Principal & Controller. Júlio Miguel'sresponsibilities included acting as a Principal in transactions involving the Investment Management business and serving as a Controller for the whole Sierra Investment Management business and all investment vehicles under management. In addition, they worked as a Fund Controller, establishing internal controls, policies, and mechanisms around funds accounting and reporting. Júlio also worked as a Senior Investment Analyst, involved in portfolio valuation and analysis of investment proposals.

Prior to their role at Sonae Sierra, Júlio worked as a Senior Financial Analyst/Controller, responsible for consolidated management accounts and reporting for Sonae Sierra's group companies. Júlio Miguel also served as a Financial Analyst/Controller and was involved in financial reporting, budgeting, and the transition of accounting practices to IAS/IFRS standards.

Júlio Miguel Gomes completed their high school education at Escola Secundária João Gonçalves ZARCO from 1987 to 1993, with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Júlio Miguel then pursued a degree in Business Administration and Management at Universidade Católica Portuguesa from 1994 to 2000. In 2008 and 2009, they attended Porto Business School, where they obtained an Executive MBA with a specialization in Finance. Lastly, from 2017 to 2020, they completed a Non-Listed Real Estate Investment Certificate program at INREV/Henley, focusing on Corporate Finance.
