Michelle Barnett

Michelle Barnett serves as the Ocean Science Business Development Manager at Sonardyne International Ltd since August 2021. Prior to this, Barnett held the position of International Sales Manager at Scancom Radio Communications from June 2019 to August 2021 and managed the Ocean Business Vessel and Pontoon operations at Diversified Communications UK for April 2019. With a robust academic background that includes a PhD in marine phytoplankton ecology from the University of Southampton (2010-2018), Barnett has also contributed to the field of marine biology through various leadership and technical roles, including summer school academic leader and a research technician focused on plankton analysis. Barnett holds an MSci in Marine Biology from the University of Southampton and has a strong foundation in both sales and marine scientific research across multiple organizations.
