Alyssa Jones has been a Crohn’s patient for 20 years, diagnosed in her late teens.
Following a lifesaving surgery in 2014, Alyssa became a volunteer with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation to help others navigate living with IBD. As a volunteer, she has advocated at the state and federal levels for research funding and patient protections, helping pass a bill in 2019 to reform step therapy and prior authorization in Washington State. She has also raised money for IBD research as a flag football team captain for the Northwest chapter and became a Clinical Trial Ambassador in 2018 to encourage other patients to consider participating in clinical trials to manage their care.
Alyssa works as a Senior Event Manager with Dynamic Events. She earned her undergraduate degree in visual communication at Seattle Pacific University and her Master of Communication in Digital Media from the University of Washington.
