Bas Timmers has extensive work experience in the engineering and automotive industries. Bas began their career at Delphi Corporation, where they held various positions over a span of 20 years. During their time at Delphi, Bas served as a Product Line Manager and Chief Engineer, with responsibilities including P&L management, product development, and leading international teams.

Bas then joined Honeywell as the Chief Technology Officer for the Environmental and Combustion Control Division. Bas led a development team of 1400 engineers and was responsible for creating new products and maintaining legacy products across multiple lines of business. Bas previously served as the Director of International Business Development and Director of the Automotive Division. In their current role, Bas has full P&L responsibility for five business units, focusing on emissions control, instrumentation, thermal management, and variable valve control. Sonceboz's total revenue is around $260MM, with steady growth.

Bas Timmers has a diverse education history. Bas completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The Open University Business School between 1990 and 1993. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Automotive Engineering from HTS Automotive Technology Apeldoorn, which spanned from 1982 to 1986. Bas Timmers also attended Delft University of Technology from 1979 to 1981, focusing on Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering, although they did not earn a specific degree in this field.

In addition to their formal education, Bas Timmers achieved the Green Belt Certification (GB) from Honeywell in September 2010.
