Daniel Marcel has a diverse work experience that spans across different roles and companies. Daniel started their career at Marist180 as an Intake, On-Call & Aftercare Program Coordinator from August 2017 to October 2018.
Daniel then moved on to Sonder, where they held several positions. From October 2018 to December 2019, they worked as an Operations Manager, overseeing critical incident management, coaching and mentoring support staff, and ensuring service delivery quality assurance.
In December 2019, Daniel took on the role of Operations Project Manager at Sonder. In this position, they managed all projects within the operations team, including resourcing, cross-functional team enablement, and tracking organizational MTFM & OKRs. Daniel was also responsible for quality assurance and compliance, as well as coordinating and synchronizing the business on new product and service delivery capability.
Most recently, they worked as a Project Manager, Customer Success at Sonder. Starting in December 2020, they played a pivotal role in setting up Sonder's customer success function. Daniel managed approximately 10 accounts with a total of $400K in ARR. Daniel implemented processes, tools, and systems to improve operational efficiency and minimize churn. Daniel also provided onboarding and change management consultation to customers and customer success managers, and oversaw the program management of all customers during the onboarding lifecycle. Continuous improvement and compliance with ISO27001 were also part of their responsibilities.
Daniel Marcel has a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Criminology from Western Sydney University. Daniel also holds a Master of Social Science degree in Counselling and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling, both from Western Sydney University. In addition to their formal education, Daniel has obtained certifications in various fields including Certificate II in Security Operations from SECTA Training Academy, Project Management from the Australian Institute of Management, Recruitment and Onboarding from the Catholic Commission for Employment Relations, and a Security 1AC Licence from SECTA Training Academy.
