Hayley Crowell has a diverse work experience. Hayley started as a Student Intern at the Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in 2016, where they gained experience in handling different bird species and worked with veterinarians to assess injuries. Later that year, they interned at Friends of the Australian Koala Foundation Inc, where they were responsible for the well-being and management of sick and injured koalas. In 2018, Hayley worked as a Phone Recruiter/Interviewer at the Fund for the Public Interest, conducting applicant interviews and reaching out to potential candidates for environmental campaigns. At MAS KAOS Pizzeria & Taqueria, they worked as an Assistant General Manager and Front of House Manager, where they implemented strategies to maintain profitability and adjusted the dining menu to suit customer preferences during the global pandemic. Most recently, they joined SonderMind as a Care Coordinator in 2022. Hayley has experience in advocacy, campaign work, management, and customer service.

Hayley Crowell began their education journey in 2013 when they enrolled in Santa Monica College, where they pursued general studies. After completing their time there in 2014, they transferred to the University of Colorado Boulder. From 2014 to 2017, they studied at the University of Colorado Boulder, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies. During their time at the university, they also had the opportunity to study abroad in Australia at the School for International Training in 2016, focusing on sustainability and environmental action.
