Shelly Marlin

Shelly Marlin, CPA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting spanning over two decades. Shelly is currently the Director of Accounting at SonderMind since April 2021. Prior to that, they served as the VP, Corporate Controller at Welltok, Inc. from April 2019 to April 2021.

Shelly's previous roles include being the Controller at Mark VII Equipment Inc. from April 2018 to April 2019, and the VP Finance at RavenBrick from January 2016 to October 2017. Shelly also worked as the Director of Accounting at SMA America from March 2010 to January 2016, where they supervised all accounting, treasury, audit, and tax functions for the North America operations.

Before that, Shelly was the Asst. Controller at Zed USA from November 2007 to March 2010, where they supervised and managed all areas of the accounting department. Shelly also served as the Accounting Manager at Ultimate Electronics, where they guided the team in reconciling the entire Balance Sheet and shortened the closing process.

Earlier in their career, Shelly worked as the Plant Controller at Precast Concepts, LLC, where they were solely responsible for supervising the accounting/finance department, office, payroll, and human resources. Shelly also gained experience as a Senior Financial Analyst at Coors Brewing Company and held various roles at Owens Corning, including Finance & Administrative Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, and Internal Auditor.

Throughout their career, Shelly has demonstrated their skills in financial analysis, budgeting, auditing, and process improvement. Shelly has been instrumental in implementing streamlined financial reporting systems and has effectively managed teams in various organizations.

Shelly Marlin, CPA, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Colorado State University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2018. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting at the University of Iowa from 1993 to 1997. Shelly also obtained their CPA certification in September 2004.
