Valerie Silvers

Valerie Silvers has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health. Valerie'smost recent position is as a Mental Health Therapist at SonderMind, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they had an extensive tenure at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where they held various roles. From February 2015 onwards, they served as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Additionally, they worked as a Caregiver Support Coordinator from March 2011 onwards. Valerie'searliest role at the Department of Veterans Affairs was as a Suicide Prevention Case Manager, starting in February 2009 and concluding in March 2011. Before their time at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Valerie worked as a Crisis Counselor at the Jeffco Action Center, starting in 2003 and ending in 2007.

Valerie Silvers holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas. Valerie further pursued their education and obtained a Masters of Science and Social Work degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. In addition to their formal education, Valerie Silvers has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. Valerie is a Board Certified Diplomate from the American Board of Examiners, Social Work, which they achieved in April 2013. Valerie is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Colorado, which they obtained in April 2007. Furthermore, Valerie Silvers holds the certification of Certified Therapist in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing from EMDRIA, achieved in February 2019.
