Joshua Hubert

Joshua Hubert has worked for a variety of companies since 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as an intern for Cal Dining's Sustainability Team, where they drafted and presented material for student education and outreach on topics such as water conservation, sustainable and local food options, and implemented a dish sampling initiative to reduce food waste. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Projects Assistant for The Root Solutions, where they researched and wrote up summaries of pertinent psychological studies and case studies of marketing campaigns that used behavioral design strategies effectively. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Behavioral Interventionist for ACES (Comprehensive Educational Services, Inc.), providing in-home therapy services to three young clients on the autism spectrum. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Lab Intern for Sonera Magnetics, Inc., writing, testing, and refining Python programs for automating control of 8 pieces of electronics lab equipment. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Math Tutor for Foothill College, providing free tutoring services to other students who requested assistance. Finally, from 2021 to present, they have worked as a Test Automation Engineer for Sonera Magnetics, Inc., designing and coding an automated test procedure in Python to characterize Sonera's prototype magnetic field sensor, in an electromagnet chamber with a rotating field. Joshua has also assisted with experimental design, CAD for 3D printing, and general lab technician work as necessary.

Joshua Hubert has completed a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley between 2010 and 2014. Joshua then attended Menlo-Atherton High School from 2006 to 2010. After that, they obtained an Associate of Science in Engineering, Physics, Math, and Computer Science from Foothill College between 2018 and 2020. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at UC Irvine, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
