Jonathan Gilbert has a diverse work experience beginning in 2007 when they served as a Field Radio Operator for the United States Marine Corps. In 2012, they worked as a Lab Tech at Cape Fear Community College. In 2014, they became a Sales Clerk at Kangaroo Express, an operating trade name of The Pantry, Inc. In 2015, they were hired as an Information Technology Support Technician at Granite Services, Inc. Since 2017, they have been working as an Information Technology Support Technician for Sonic Systems International, Inc. (SSI). At SSI, they are responsible for managing non-contaminated computer system assets and supporting equipment, communicating with the site Project Manager to ensure correct clean equipment has been ordered and received, and resolving issues with equipment, hardware, and software.

Jonathan Gilbert obtained their Associate of Science (AS) in Computer and Information Sciences, General from Cape Fear Community College in 2012. Jonathan also obtained a CompTIA Security+ certification from Ultimate Knowledge in December 2010.
