Tom Pongratz

Tom Pongratz currently serves as Controller/Admin Manager at Sonoco, overseeing a team of five associates and managing various functions including Human Resources, Purchasing, Billing, Payroll, and Warehousing since July 2016. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of Operations Controller at Oberto Brands, where responsibilities included launching start-up plant operations and employee training on QAD ERP systems until the plant closure in March 2016. Tom's experience also encompasses a tenure as Plant Controller at The Timken Company, where significant contributions included transitioning the closing process for two industrial plants and leading the implementation of SAP in multiple locations. Tom's career began at Nabisco Biscuit Company as Supervisor of Manufacturing Accounting, managing a team and working on cross-functional quality improvement initiatives. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business/Management from East Tennessee State University.
