Matthew Henry

CEO at Sonoma County Family YMCA

Matthew Henry has a wide range of experience in leadership roles within the YMCA and the Mexican American Community Services Agency. Matthew began working in 1998 as the Director of Youth Services at the Mexican American Community Services Agency, where they started as a sports coordinator and worked their way up to director. From 2002 to 2013, Matthew worked at the YMCA of San Diego County as an Associate Executive Director and later as the Executive Director. In 2013, they transitioned to the YMCA of Pomona Valley, where they served as the CEO until 2016. Currently, Matthew is the CEO of the Sonoma County Family YMCA, a position they have held since 2016.

Matthew Henry attended Columbia University from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at John F. Kennedy University from 1995 to 1997, obtaining a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Sport Psychology.
