Director Rabbitt represents Sonoma County’s Second District and has been on the Board of Directors since 2013. Supervisor David Rabbitt was first elected to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors in November 2010, after serving four years on the Petaluma City Council, and was elected to his third term representing the Second District of Sonoma County.
The Supervisor served two consecutive terms as Chair of the Board of Supervisors in 2013 and 2014, and is currently serving as the Chair of the Board again in 2019.
Supervisor Rabbitt serves as President of the Bay Area Association of Governments; Director of the Golden Gate Bridge District; Director of Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit; Director of the National Association of Counties; Chair of the North Bay Water reuse Authority; Director of the Sonoma County Transportation Authority and Regional Climate Protection Authority; and has been appointed twice by the Governor to represent local government on the California Seismic Safety Commission.
Supervisor Rabbitt is an architect, and resides in Petaluma with his wife, three children and their dog Nellie.
