Director Of Community Engagement And Education at Sonoma Land Trust

Neal Ramus has extensive experience in the field of community engagement and education. Neal currently holds the position of Director of Community Engagement and Education at Sonoma Land Trust since March 2018. Prior to this, they worked at the California Academy of Sciences for several years, where they held various roles including Associate Director of Youth Engagement and Senior Manager of Youth Programs. Neal also served as the Manager of the Careers in Science Intern Program at the academy. Before joining the California Academy of Sciences, Neal held the position of (Interim) Executive Director at the Petaluma Wildlife Museum from August 2010 to August 2012. Neal started their career at Sonoma State University, where they worked as the Program Development Projects Manager at the Sonoma State University Center for Environmental Inquiry until September 2010.

Neal Ramus holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a focus on Zoology from Sonoma State University. Neal also pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration at the School of Business and Economics at Sonoma State University. In addition to their educational qualifications, Neal Ramus has a certification in Wilderness First Aid and CPR.

Sonoma Land Trust

Sonoma Land Trust conserves scenic, natural, agricultural and open land for the future of Sonoma County by: -Developing long term land protection strategies, -Promoting private and public funding for land conservation, -Acquiring land and conservation easements, -Practicing stewardship, including the restoration of conservation properties, and -Promoting a sense of place and a land ethic through activities, education and outreach.
