Steve Irwin is a seasoned meteorologist with extensive experience in air quality forecasting and operational meteorology. Currently working at Sonoma Technology, Inc. since December 2020, Steve is responsible for producing meteorological insights. Previous roles include serving as a houseparent at Eagle Ranch, and an air dispersion modeler and air quality forecaster at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, where Steve utilized artificial intelligence and GIS tools for efficient air modeling. Earlier in the career, Steve worked as an operational forecaster at Weather or Not, Inc., and conducted significant research on storm verification and radar technology at the Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies. Steve began the professional journey in technical support at Weather Decision Technologies Inc. and holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Point Loma Nazarene University.
