Bruce Blakeley

Principal Research Scientist at Sonomatic Limited

Bruce Blakeley has a strong background in research and development within the field of non-destructive testing. Bruce has worked as a Principal Research Scientist at Sonomatic Limited since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at NDT Global as a Senior Scientist, where their role involved developing algorithms for data visualization and denoising. Bruce also has experience as an R&D project manager at Eddyfi Technologies, where they focused on designing and delivering custom-built probes and developing algorithms for processing raw data. Earlier in their career, Bruce worked as an R&D Projects Manager at TSC Inspection Systems and as a Senior project manager at TWI. Bruce started their career as a PCM engineer at Corus.

Bruce Blakeley holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Physics from Imperial College London, which they obtained from 1990 to 1993. Bruce then pursued an MSc in Industrial Engineering at The University of Manchester from 1995 to 1996. Later, they earned an EngD in Vibration, Condition Monitoring from Swansea University, completing their studies from 1996 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, Bruce possesses a Professional Certificate in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from Emeritus, obtained in 2022, and an ACFM Level 3 certification from PCN.
