Dr. Kaitlin Lira

School Principal at Sonoran Schools

Dr. Kaitlin Lira has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple roles and organizations. In 2006, they worked as a Teacher for Breakthrough Collaborative. From 2007 to 2011, they served as a Spanish Teacher at Corona Norco Unified School District. Following that, they joined Green Dot Public Schools in 2011, where they held various positions including Spanish Teacher, Professional Development Leader (Spanish), Administrator in Residence, and Assistant Principal. In 2015, Dr. Lira co-founded Evo Prep, a comprehensive CPACE prep course for aspiring school leaders. Dr. Kaitlin'sresponsibilities included being an Instructional Designer and contributing to increasing the pool of high-quality school leaders in California. Dr. Kaitlin later joined Sonoran Schools in 2021 as an Assistant Principal, and in 2022, they were promoted to the role of School Principal. Throughout their career, Dr. Kaitlin Lira has focused on instructional coaching, staff professional development, strategic planning, data analysis, community partnerships, and English Learner support.

Dr. Kaitlin Lira received their B.A. in Art and Spanish from Pomona College in 2007. Dr. Kaitlin then pursued a M.A. in Education at Claremont Graduate University from 2007 to 2008. Later, they completed their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in K-12 Leadership at the University of Southern California from 2012 to 2017.
