Fatih Karatas

Fatih Karatas is the CEO of Sonoran Schools. Fatih was previously the Principal of Sonoran Science Academy - Tucson, where they were named Arizona Charter School of the Year in 2009 and ranked in the top 100 schools in the nation by Newsweek in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, they were ranked in the top 25 Best Charter Schools in the Nation by US News & World Report.

Fatih Karatas holds a Master of Education from Arizona State University in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor of Science from Boğaziçi University in Molecular Biology and Genetics, and certifications from the Arizona Department of Education in Standard Professional Elementary K-8, Standard Professional Principal PreK-12, Standard Professional Secondary 6-8 (Mathematics, Biology, & Middle Grades General Science), and Standard Professional Superintendent PreK-12.
