Michael Jewett

Customer Success Advocate at Sonrai Security

Michael Jewett has more than 20 years of work experience in various roles in the cybersecurity and IT field. Michael started their career as a Network Analyst at the University of New Brunswick in 2000, where they gained experience in networking hardware and software. During their time there, they also focused on enhancing security measures by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security protocols. In 2012, Michael joined IBM as a Level 2 Support Analyst and later took on the roles of Level 3 Support Specialist and Level 2 Support - Team Lead. In 2018, they returned to the University of New Brunswick as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer. Most recently, Michael joined Sonrai Security in 2020 as a Customer Success Advocate.

Michael Jewett obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university between 1993 and 1998. In addition to their formal education, they also hold several certifications, including the IBM QRadar SIEM Foundation from IBM in August 2019, the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020, and the GIAC Certified Detection Analyst (GCDA) from GIAC Certifications in April 2019.
