Melissa Groo

Melissa Groo is a highly experienced wildlife and conservation photographer, currently serving as a Sony Artisan of Imagery since February 2024. As an Associate Fellow at the International League of Conservation Photographers since August 2017, and a Contributing Editor for Audubon Magazine since June 2016, Melissa demonstrates a strong commitment to wildlife conservation through various editorial roles, including a columnist for Outdoor Photographer magazine since January 2016. With a background that includes vital research positions at Save the Elephants and the Elephant Listening Project at Cornell University, as well as a foundation in education with degrees from Stanford University and Trinity College-Hartford, Melissa Groo combines a rich educational background with significant contributions to wildlife photography and conservation efforts.
