Jan Kubran

Jan Kubran is a seasoned professional in music licensing and brand partnerships, currently serving as Director of Sync & Rights Management at Sony Music Entertainment since January 2009, with a progressive career encompassing various leadership roles including Director and Head of Music Licensing. Prior to this role, Jan founded and managed 35mm-meets-Vinyl GbR, organizing annual networking events for the film and music industries. Jan also has experience as a guest lecturer at Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München and Campus M21. Educational background includes an Executive MBA from Bologna Business School and a Diplom in Applied Media Science from Technische Universität Ilmenau, complemented by an internship at Sony BMG Music Entertainment where a diploma thesis focused on digital music access barriers was completed.
