Miguel Jiron is an accomplished director and storyboard artist at Sony Pictures Animation, where contributions have been made since January 2016. In addition to this role, Miguel has worked as a freelance illustrator and animator since June 2009. Previous experience includes serving as a storyboard artist at Illumination Entertainment from July 2013 to January 2016, and a brief stint as an art development intern at DreamWorks Animation in early 2013. Earlier career highlights also include working as a studio assistant at Kaikai Kiki NY Studio from July 2007 to June 2009, where responsibilities included executing paintings for Takashi Murakami and overseeing in-studio art handling. Miguel Jiron holds a Master of Fine Arts in Animation from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Art Theory & Practice, along with Radio/Television/Film from Northwestern University.
