Jon Hookstratten

Jon Hookstratten is currently the EVP of Administration & Operations at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Before that, they were with Fox from June 2011 to June 2016 as the Executive Vice President of Broadcast Distribution for Fox Networks Group. In this role, they were responsible for managing relationships with station owners, general managers, programming departments, and sales organizations for all 207 company-affiliated stations. Jon also liaised with key internal FOX network departments, including sports, entertainment programming, development, scheduling, sales, research, engineering, operations, and government compliance regarding all affiliate issues. Jon had full P&L responsibility for the multimillion-dollar annual operating budget and managed a staff of 13.

Under Jon's leadership, the client relations department was successfully transitioned into a revenue-generating distribution team - the first network to share in substantial retransmission consent fees with all of its affiliated stations. Jon grew department revenue by 500% over the five-year period. Additionally, they spearheaded multiple affiliation switches, as needed, to realize strategic objectives while maintaining excellent relationships with affiliate partners throughout the transformation process.

Jon has a proven track record of success in negotiating and enforcing station affiliation agreements, including financial terms, programming clearances, operational issues, and proxy arrangements for future, over-the-top distribution. Jon also managed the implementation of the "FOX TV Everywhere" initiative, which involved revision of all standing affiliate contracts. Jon Hookstratten attended Southwestern Law School, where they earned their JD in Real Estate Finance/Entertainment Law. Jon also holds a BS in Real Estate Finance from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business.
