Shai Biran

Shai Biran is a seasoned professional in software engineering, currently serving as the Senior Director of Software Engineering at Sony Semicon since February 2022. Biran has extensive experience in the field, having held various leadership roles at Altair Semiconductor from September 2006 to January 2022, including Director of Software Engineering for NB-IoT, where responsibilities encompassed managing R&D activities for NB-IoT modem development. Biran also has a strong background in ASIC design, having led teams focused on modem performance and physical layer development, alongside experience at IBM and Intel. Biran holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance and a B.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from Tel Aviv University.
