David MacIel

David Maciel has extensive experience in product safety and compliance, currently serving as a Staff Product Safety & Compliance Engineer at Sony since 2001. In this role, David ensures that products meet both external and internal safety and energy efficiency requirements by collaborating with agencies to develop standards and training engineers in compliance activities. Prior to this position, David worked as a Product Safety & QA Plant Engineer at Sony Electronics Inc. from 1996 to 2001, where responsibilities included verifying product compliance during design and manufacturing stages and managing external and internal safety audits, as well as overseeing quality assurance for PWB vendors.
