Peter Averkos

Peter Averkos serves as the Information Security Officer at Sony Australia & New Zealand since September 2011, where responsibilities include ensuring compliance and protecting Sony assets against cyber threats. Averkos is also involved with the Sony Global Security team and is an active member of the Australian Cyber Security Centre, holding an ISC2 Certification in Cyber Security. Additionally, Averkos has been with Sony since October 2005 as the Senior Manager of IS Business Solutions and previously held IT managerial roles at McKechnie Group and Australian Pharmaceutical Industries. Averkos holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Western Sydney University, an Associate Diploma in Systems Analysis and Design / Computer Programming from TAFE NSW, and additional education from Harvard Business Review and Sony University.
