Yalcin Balcioglu is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in the field of digital design and ASIC development. Currently serving as an Image Sensor ASIC Digital Design Engineer/Architect and Senior Silicon Engineering Manager at Sony since March 2021, Yalcin specializes in architecture for sensing readout, MIPI interfaces, SOC development, and image signal processing within automotive image sensors and ADAS applications. Prior to Sony, Yalcin held the position of Principal Member of Technical Staff at Analog Devices - Maxim Integrated, leading the design and verification of over 40 high-speed automotive SERDES network systems. Earlier roles include ASIC Design Engineer at Ericsson, focusing on wireless communication systems, and ADAS Researcher at Honda R&D Americas, where crash prevention systems for vehicles were developed. Yalcin's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Digital PLLs and a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the same institution.
