Alexandru Bello

Alexandru Bello has a diverse work experience in infrastructure, technology, and operations management. Alexandru is currently working as the Head of Technology Infrastructure at SOPHiA GENETICS. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Infrastructure at EveryMatrix Ltd, where they led teams in system, networking, database administration, devops, and help desk. Alexandru also designed infrastructure for cloud and on-premises environments and conducted Kubernetes deployments. Before this, Alexandru served as the Head of DevOps at Secucloud GmbH, where they were responsible for automation, deployment, and observability of infrastructure in both cloud and on-premises environments. Alexandru has also worked at eMAG as the Infrastructure Operations Manager, Senior Linux System Engineer, and Infrastructure Technical Team Leader, and at BRD as an IT Systems Architect. Alexandru started their career at Romtelecom as a System Engineer and later became the Shared Internet Services Team Leader. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in various technologies and platforms such as Linux, Windows, AIX, VMware, and cloud services.

Alexandru Bello completed their education history with a focus on Electronics and Telecommunications - Mobile Communications and Satellites. Alexandru obtained an Engineer's degree from Politehnica University Bucharest from 2003 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended Mihai Viteazul National College from 1999 to 2003, where they studied Mathematics. In addition to their formal education, Alexandru Bello also acquired a range of certifications. These include Cambridge in Advanced English from the University of Cambridge - British Council, Fundamentals Of Linux/Unix from Cisco Systems - Infoacademy, ITIL Foundation Certified from ITIL, Project Management - Basics from OTE Academy, RedHat Certified Engineer, and RedHat Clustering and Storage Management Certificate of Expertise, both from RedHat.
