Bita Khalili

Bita Khalili is a highly experienced Senior Algorithm Developer at SOPHiA GENETICS since May 2020, specializing in the development of algorithms for analyzing next-generation sequencing data and focusing on copy number variation using normalization techniques and hidden Markov models. Bita Khalili has a solid background in product development, data-driven solutions, and cross-team collaboration, alongside proficiency in Python and R. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Lausanne, where integrative analysis techniques were applied to large-scale biomedical datasets, and various research positions at UNIL and Lehigh University, emphasizing computational modeling and collaboration with biologists on projects related to signaling pathways and cell polarity. Bita Khalili holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Lehigh University and a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Physics from the University of Tehran.
