Jian Yu

Jian Yu is an experienced bioinformatician currently serving as Manager and previously as Senior Bioinformatician at SOPHiA GENETICS since March 2018, specializing in bioinformatic service and pipeline development. Prior to this role, Jian Yu was a Bioinformatics Specialist and PhD student at ETH Zurich from April 2013 to February 2018, focusing on benchmarking and the development of new approaches for high-throughput data analysis, visualization, integration, and interpretation. Earlier experience also includes a position as Research Assistant at the Shanghai Center for Bioinformatics Technology from June 2011 to January 2013, where Jian Yu concentrated on statistical modeling and classification of cancer prognosis. Jian Yu holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from ETH Zurich, obtained in 2017, and a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Tongji University, earned in 2011.
