Ashish Kumar

Ashish Kumar is a seasoned software engineering leader with extensive experience in various managerial and technical roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Sophos since November 2020, Ashish oversees the development of a NextGen containerized control plane for Sophos Firewall and the delivery of comprehensive Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) capabilities. Previously, Ashish held positions at Cisco, where responsibilities included engineering management and customer success, and at Microchip Technology Inc. as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, leading teams and managing customer relations. Additionally, Ashish has a solid foundation in software development, having contributed to significant projects at Cisco and SAP Labs India. Ashish holds a Bachelor of Technology in Information Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and an MBA in Special Products Marketing Operations from Liverpool John Moores University.
