Ira Heffan

Ira Heffan possesses extensive experience in intellectual property law, currently serving as Vice President of Intellectual Property and Associate General Counsel, as well as Global Head of Intellectual Property at Sophos since December 2015. Previous roles include Intellectual Property Attorney at IP Spring, General Counsel at TopCoder, and Intellectual Property Attorney at Goodwin Procter LLP and Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault LLP. Ira began a career as a Software Engineer at Agfa Compugraphic from 1988 to 1994. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Stanford Law School, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from Boston University Metropolitan College, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from Union College.
