Shelly Lin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Shelly began their career at Goldman Sachs, where they worked in the Structured Products Group and Restructuring Group from 2005 to 2008. Shelly then joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP as a Corporate Associate, specializing in M&A, private equity, financing, capital markets, and corporate governance. Shelly handled high-value domestic and cross-border transactions during their time at Simpson Thacher, from 2012 to 2017. Shelly Lin then moved on to Interpublic Group (IPG), where they served as a Senior Counsel, managing legal aspects of domestic and cross-border M&A, divestitures, and strategic partnerships. Shelly was also involved in public company filings. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at Ziff Davis as an Associate General Counsel, overseeing and managing legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other significant business transactions. Currently, they are working at Sophos as the Vice President of Corporate Legal and Associate General Counsel, leading the company's global corporate legal practice and managing a team of attorneys and legal professionals worldwide.

Shelly Lin graduated from Yale University in 2005 with a B.A. degree in Economics with Distinction in Major. Shelly later attended Columbia Law School, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree. Prior to their college education, they received a High School Diploma from Massapequa High School. Shelly has additional certifications, including being admitted to the New York Bar and passing the Series 63 and Series 7 exams, both administered by FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
