Vinay Punwani

Vinay Punwani is a software engineer who has worked for companies such as Shopify, BCIT, and The Princeton Review. Vinay has also done research work for Boehringer Ingelheim and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

Vinay Punwani began their career as a research assistant for the Public Health Agency of Canada in 2007. Vinay then went on to work as a research assistant for Boehringer Ingelheim and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada before becoming an instructor for The Princeton Review in 2010.

In 2016, Vinay Punwani began working as a Merchant Success Front End Developer for Shopify. Vinay held this position until 2018 when they left to join Sophya as a software engineer.

Vinay Punwani has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Victoria. Vinay also has various certifications from Code School in areas such as Assembling Sass, CSS Cross-Country, Front-end Formations, and Front-end Foundations. In addition, they are certified from BCIT in LEAN Whitebelt. Finally, they have certification from Code School in Angular 2 and ES2015: The Shape of JavaScript to Come.

They are on a team with Amrit Hothi - Software Engineer, Connor Fitzgerald - Software Engineer, and Michael Markell - Software Engineer. Their manager is Jesse Youngblood, Software Engineer Lead.
