Nitin Sonwalkar

Nitin Sonwalkar has extensive experience in human resources, with their most recent role being Head of Human Resources at Persistent Systems since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Sopra Steria as an HR Lead in Pune, where they managed a team and developed HR strategies for new business transitions. Nitin also conceptualized and implemented employee engagement and wellness programs. Before that, they served as AVP of Human Resources at HSBC and as a Manager of Human Resources. Nitin'scareer began at BPL Limited, where they worked as a Deputy Manager of Human Resources.

Nitin Sonwalkar completed an Executive Certificate in Human Resource Management from XLRI - VIL Programs in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, CMM Jabalpur between 1995 and 1997, with a focus on Organisation Behaviour, Managerial Economics, HRM, and Marketing. Nitin also holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) from GS College, University of Jabalpur, which they earned between 1992 and 1995, with a specialization in Accounting, Economics, Mercantile Law, and Statistics. In addition to their formal education, Nitin has obtained various certifications, including ones in psychological safety, hybrid organization planning, supporting employee well-being, strategic human resources, developing a diversity and inclusion program, OD & Change Management, and HR analytics.
