Jae Gangemi

Jae Gangemi has accumulated extensive work experience in the software engineering and DevOps fields. Starting in 2000, Gangemi worked as a Technical Lead at Register.com, where they developed a domain name registration system using Perl/CGI/PSQL and later assisted in replacing these systems with Java/J2EE technologies.

In 2004, Gangemi joined TSYS Prepaid, Inc. as a Software Engineer before moving on to Generic Network Systems in 2005 as a Senior Software Engineer.

From 2006 to 2010, Gangemi worked at Gridapp Systems as a Senior Software Developer, initially creating a domain name registration system and later returning to build an enterprise database automation tool.

In 2010, Gridapp Systems was acquired by BMC Software, and Gangemi joined as a Senior Software Engineer. They were responsible for integrating the automation tool with BMC Software's flagship cloud offering.

In 2014, Gangemi transitioned to Dstillery as a Java Developer, where they performed enhancements and bug fixes on an ad bidding platform. They also introduced containerization and other enhancements to improve developer productivity.

From 2015 to 2022, Gangemi worked at Conductor, Inc. as a Staff DevOps Engineer. They were involved in pioneering the transition from a large monolithic code base to a Service Oriented Architecture, with a focus on build systems and CI/CD practices. Gangemi also created custom tooling to integrate with third-party applications and improve the developer experience. They led efforts to decommission the Java 6 based monolithic application.

In 2023, Gangemi joined Sorcero as a Senior DevOps Engineer.

Jae Gangemi pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University, which was completed in the year 2000. There is no information available regarding any educational experiences before attending Rutgers University.
