Ron Mika

Partner at Sorenson Capital

After 13 successful years at Bain Capital, Ron Mika co-founded Sorenson Capital in 2002, where he is currently head of the Credit Committee. Ron brings nearly three decades of investing experience and has survived three major economic downturns. Ron’s background in engineering inspires a natural analytical outlook toward “cracking the case” for challenging issues faced by management teams. Ron loves the outdoors and all this earth has to offer. He is also passionate about higher and elementary education, youth life-learning and development, and local hunger abatement causes.

At Bain Capital, Ron was a managing director and completed primary and add-on transactions in manufacturing, distribution, automotive, chemicals, consumer products, and retail, among others. Before joining Bain Capital, Ron was a consultant at Bain & Company.

Ron earned an MBA with honors from the Harvard Business School and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University.
