Alberto Ponti is the current director at Sorgenia. Prior to this, they were with Renovalia Energy S.A., SDA Bocconi - Sustainability Lab, Terna SpA, Societé Generale, CITI, and F2i SGR. Alberto Ponti has almost two decades of experience in finance and investment.
Alberto started their career in 1997 as an equity analyst with RASfin S.I.M. Alberto then moved to LEK where they worked as an associate from 1998 to 1999. In 1998, they also began working as an equity analyst with Flemings Securities, a position they held until 1999.
In 2000, Ponti joined CITI as a director and spent the next ten years with the company. During their time there, they gained extensive experience in finance and investment banking. In 2010, they left CITI to join Societé Generale as managing director and head of European utilities. Alberto held this position until 2016 when they joined Terna SpA as head of strategy and market analysis.
Ponti has been with Sorgenia since 2018. Alberto is an expert in the fields of strategy, M&A, international affairs, and market analysis.
Alberto Ponti studied at Università Bocconi, a private university located in Milan, Italy. Alberto then attended the Summer School of Finance at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Afterwards, they completed a summer school in advanced econometrics at the LSE.
