Jianbo Wu

Jianbo Wu is a Senior Scientist at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. since October 2022, focusing on the development of hiPSC-Derived CAR-NK cells for cancer immunotherapy. Prior to this role, Jianbo Wu served as a Research Instructor and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, UT Health Science Center at Houston from September 2013 to October 2022, working on projects related to skeletal muscle disease modeling and differentiation. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the Department of Neurosurgery at UT Health Science Center at Houston, studying neural differentiation using Ngn2 knock-in reporters, and a Postdoctoral Fellow role at the State University of New York at Buffalo, investigating Parkinson's disease mechanisms using patient-specific iPSCs. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Lanzhou University.
